Luxury, Designer Handbags Up For Auction !

People from around the globe are selling their pricey designer purses through Heritage Auctions in Dallas for hundreds to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Handbags with big brand names like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel are all on sale for a fraction of the price.
For example, a Hermes Birkin crocodile bag with solid gold hardware and diamonds would sell for 240 thousand dollars in retail stores. For the Heritage Auction, bidding starts at 100-thousand.
While that is one of the most expensive pieces, there are more inexpensive items available. are cheaper items here too and it’s not just wealthy buyers who show up for the big sale.
Matt Rubinger, director of luxury accessories, says it’s not just wealthy buyers who show up for the big sale.

“We get what we call the aspirational buyer, you know, younger women, some young girls that just want to come and get a great deal on something, on a cool chanel bag, they just want to come here and see what goes low and they grab it.”
Some pieces, like a Hermes “Alphabet” scarf, start at just a dollar, with a final bidding price of 200 to 300 bucks expected.
It’s a collector’s candy store or a gal’s first big purchase. You just have to be willing to pay the price.
