May 08, 2012, (Sawfnews.com) - Dakota Fanning looked breathtaking in a Louis Vuitton lavender organza gown at the "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 7, 2012.
The tulle and organza gown was accented with hand stitched ribbon flowers.
She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewelry and LV satin sandals and silk lavender minaudière.
The 2012 Met Gala was intended to highlight the institute's latest fashion exhibition, 'Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations,'
The exhibition explores the striking affinities between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, two Italian designers from different eras. Inspired by Miguel Covarrubias's "Impossible Interviews" for Vanity Fair in the 1930s, the exhibition features orchestrated conversations between these iconic women to suggest new readings of their most innovative work.
